I received my CORI certification last year and I am very excited to offer this new program to students! CORI stands for Concept-Oriented Reading Instruction. It is designed for kindergarten through 8th grade to teach students reading comprehension through the combination of science and reading. CORI’s primary goal is to increase the reading comprehension of young students by increasing their reading engagement. I encourage conceptual knowledge as the main goal, not just memorizing. Reading about the world around them encourages student’s long-term development.
